Alhaurin Golf's setting is uniquely special.  Its lush greens and water features undulate to a backdrop of hillsides and mountains. In sharp contrast to some coastal courses (just 15 minutes away) it enjoys clear fresh airs and far-reaching open views.
A fully established course, Alhaurín Golf has already completed its second stage since its inauguration by the Minister of Tourism in 1994. Since then, every effort has been made to continually improve the course and to facilitate play. Improvements have been introduced so that players might experience even greater convenience during the game. Some of the fairways have been extended and greens and bunkers have been changed.

In fact, Alhaurin Golf boasts three courses, as well as associated golfing facilities. Whilst the Alhaurin Course rewards experience in full measure, there are two other courses of the highest quality designed for beginners, the young and for slightly less demanding enjoyment.

1. The Alhaurin Course :: 18 holes - par 72 - 6,806 yds [5,857 m].

Designed by Seve Ballesteros, this main course has an attractive layout that adapts itself to the surrounding hillsides. It successfully combines the intricate with the deceptive, making play a challenge for the skilled player whilst providing a testing yet achievable round of real golf for those less experienced.

The course’s over-riding character lies in the considerable variety of its fairways, which require the player to concentrate fully on the game and the choice of iron for each stroke. Each hole is totally different from each other, making the round continually interesting and challenging. The result is a singularly attractive round combining precision, technique and skill in the right measure.

2. The Junior Course :: 18 holes - par 3

A unique full course, for children and novices, that shares the memorable setting.

3. The Short Course :: 9 holes - par 3

Designed to exploit and enhance the location's natural beauty.
