The Village
There are two entrances to the village, on the west side from the Fuengirola-Alhaurín road, opposite the Alhaurin Golf Hotel; and on the east side from the Mijas-Alhaurín road (the airport route), opposite the hillside pine forest.
Just beyond both these entrances is a roundabout with a BP petrol station and a notable local landmark - variously called the Tower or the Castle. It's a romantic looking edifice and a perfect 'folly' that punctuates the hilly landscape. The truth is slightly more prosaic - it houses water tanks and pumps!
