Malaga Airport to Alhaurin Golf Village

Many airlines fly into Malaga's smart modern airport, including EasyJet, and at the airport you can find a very good selection of car hire firms. Flight time from the south of England is about 2.5 hours.

Blue Dots on the map mark the following junctions:

• Leaving the airport, follow the signs for Cadiz and Algeciras (not Malaga) keeping to the right hand lane by the San Miguel brewery and joining the N340 dual carriageway heading south.
• Fairly soon (after the turning to Churriana and Parador golf) keep right to turn onto the A7-E15 coastal motorway (ignore signs for Torremolinos).
• In about 10-15 mins, keep right to stay on the non-toll motorway, then immediately keep right again (signposted Fuengirola and Mijas), reaching a roundabout fairly shortly after.
• Turn right, signposted Mijas, uphill on the A387 . . .
• At the top of the hill (Mijas) turn left at the BP roundabout, then immediately right, uphill, signposted Alhaurin and Coin. There are spectacular views from this road . . .
• You'll see the main entrance to Alhaurin Golf on your left about 10 mins afterwards, opposite the pine forest.
