Alhaurin Golf Village lies at the head of the Mijas valley, between the picturesque 'white' village of Mijas and the authentic Spanish town of Alhaurín el Grande. As you can see from our photographs, this is rolling Andalucia countryside close to the slopes of Mijas mountain and with stunning views to more distant hills. There are pine trees, gorse bushes, rosemary and thyme, footpaths and tracks through them, and in the foreground, the lush green parkland grass of the golf course.

The village includes six distinct areas of properties to rent for holidays or longer stays and to buy - high quality apartments, townhouses and villas - carefully disposed around the course. There is 'room to breathe' and the buildings do not dominate the landscape, as happens at some other nearby golf estates.

The most obvious village attraction is the golf course itself (where you can hire clubs and buggies, and receive tuition) and its clubhouse (with bar and restaurant). Close by (within 5 minutes) are a 4-star hotel-restaurant, two more restaurants, tennis courts, riding stables, and a BP petrol station with a well-stocked shop (fresh bread). Coastal villages (La Cala) and towns (Fuengirola) and their shops, facilities, wide sandy beaches and blue waters are within 15 minutes drive, along the valley road.
